Hands up and touch the sky
Don’t blend in. People who are out making a difference in the world, are not like everyone else.
She’s worked harder and been braver because she’s had to.
Your dreams are ballbusters; they’re not the yellow brick road, and you have to really understand, most of our life we’re following this carrot to find out who we’re not. Allow yourself the chance to make a lot of mistakes. And after you do, pick yourself up and keep on trying, ‘cause if I quit every time I was bad at something, I probably wouldn’t have made it through high school, so keep going.
The dream never dies, only the dreamer.
This is an important lesson to remember when you’re having a bad day, a bad month, or a shitty year. Things will change: you won’t feel this way forever. And anyway, sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones your soul needs most. I believe you can’t feel real joy unless you know what it means to fail. You can’t know what it’s like to feel holy until you know what it’s like to feel really fucking evil. And you can’t be birthed again until you’ve died.
Faith isn’t faith until it’s all you’re holding on to.
When you’re down to nothing, God is up to something.
Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.
You have to give up your life as you know it to get a new one: sometimes you need to let go of everything you’re clinging to and start over.
May the love hidden deep inside your heart find the love waiting in your dreams. May the laughter that you find in your tomorrow wipe away the pain you find in your yesterdays.
Someday, somewhere – anywhere, unfailingly, you’ll find yourself and that, and only that, can be the happiest or bitterest hour of your life.
I can’t control my destiny, I trust my soul, my only goal is just to be. There’s only now, there’s only here. Give in to love or live in fear. No other path, no other way. No day but today.
You have to be prepared for people to hate you, Average people love to be average, because nobody bothers them.
When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So what the hell, leap.
I think women have been programmed to the be the prettiest, skinniest, best girl, to be really skinny and wear pretty clothes and go to college and get a great degree and then come out and get a great job, and then find a guy and get married, and get pregnant and have a baby, and sorta live happily ever after. And my take is that doesn’t really allow for a lot of freedom for them figure out who they really are. And so this is for the village girl who doesnt wanna do things in the order that their mother said, “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage.” This is for the person who wants to find themselves and be who they are, regardless of their gender, and make the most of their life.
Your smile is gorgeous, wear it more often.
I’m a really big believer that we all have this voice inside of us, and that voice is God talking to us, and we are all magical, and we all have something as specific to do as our fingerprint. And everybody should go out and do that. And I think between the ages of 15 and 32, don’t worry about getting married, don’t worry about settling down, don’t worry about having a baby. Give birth to yourself.
Nothing in this world worth having comes easy.
Stop sharing your dreams with people who try to hold you back.
Sometimes in life seasons don’t come in order; instead of fall, winter, spring, summer, we get three winters in a row, but that doesn’t mean spring won’t come eventually.
